| Desaree "Dez-EE" Fillmyre scored the winning goal in overtime as the scrappy Lady Panthers took the the "Hi-Stick Hotties" to task in their fourth game of the season. Sarah "To Much" Muchowski and Brittany "Baby Bee" Hiros had given the Lady Flashes a 2-1 half time lead, but the Lady Panthers managed to get the tieing score in the goal just before the end of regulation. |  |

Emily "Money" Million moved up from her usual midfield position into the forward spot to get the "Hotties" first goal off a great feed from "Baby Bee" Hiros after the Lady Flashes spotted the Lady Panthers an early one goal lead. After that it was all Flashes; Katie "Smooth" Schreck worked a feed from Claudia "Cutie Pie" Shafer into a goal a little more than two minutes into the second half to put the "Hi Stick" Hotties" up 2-1. Shortly after that, the "Schreckster" gave an assist to Sarah "To Much" Muchowski for another Flashes score. Spreading the love around, "Sarah Jay" returned the favor as she figured in on both of Kristin "Bright Eyes" Tully's two goals to earn two assists. The win was solidified by the stellar defenseive play of back liners Molly "Goll-EE" Fitzpatrict, Meghan "Smiles" Wieser and Erin "Brickhouse" Stockhouse and of course the fantastic goal keeping of Kate "Big Truck" Dmitruck who turned away 19 shots by the Lady Panthers, a couple with some fantastic fancy footwork. The win secured a spot in the State playoffs for the third straight year for Coach Smith who said: "we're really just proud of the way they played in the second half". |
